A vibrant elixir for every superlady... When creating Superlady, Pierre Guillaume had in mind women who fulfil many roles at once and want a perfume that works in any setting. A fragrance that colleagues, friends, children, customers and partners will appreciate. The result is a lively green floral blend of magnolia and candied apple with the long-lasting radiance of white amber – an energy boost, for example in the middle of winter ...
Inspiration
Magnolia first appeared on Earth over 95 million years ago in tropical and subtropical zones. This majestic, evergreen tree, which can live for several hundred years, bears fleetingly fragrant flowers that smell of citrus, rose and vanilla. It is a symbol of purity, beauty and the perfect feminine form in many different cultures. The magnolia blossom is considered synonymous with yin, the feminine side of life. It is easy to imagine that magnolias were already blooming in the Garden of Eden.
Composition
The fragrance opens with the floral intensity of magnolia blossom surrounded by its green leaves. Instead of using pure magnolia extract, Pierre used the headspace method to capture all the fresh, rose- and vanilla-like, earthy facets of the living flower on the tree, as well as the moisture and green aura of its leaves. The heart notes reveal a crisp, candied apple, balanced by the tart freshness of the fruit. Superlady is delicious but not overly sweet: more of a green, fruity gourmand accord that keeps the fragrance crisp and lively. Pierre deliberately avoided classic base notes such as patchouli, labdanum and benzoin, preferring white amber to create a fresh and powdery finish that prolongs the gentle green notes of magnolia.
‘The lively, floral fragrance Superlady is a magic potion for everyday heroines.’ – Pierre Guillaum
