Created in 1996 by Christian Provenzano, Quercus from Penhaligon’s is a dream come true for fans of fresh, green fragrances.
A citrus quartet immediately takes off: lemon, lime, mandarin and bergamot leave no questions unanswered with their sparkling clarity. In the heart, spicy-fresh cardamom combines with this opening, and jasmine and lily of the valley emerge, providing floral-green notes. The exuberant start is counterbalanced by a calm, steadfast base, featuring woody oak moss, clean sandalwood, leafy galbanum and soft musk and ambergris notes.
Wonderful wood notes give ‘Quercus’ character and personality. Very fresh, light and clean. ‘Quercus’ is the Latin name for the oak genus, but we also find it equally plausible to derive the word's origin from the English “quirky”, as “Quercus” is as self-assured as it is eccentric and cheerful. A delight for women and men alike.

Summer is everywhere, exuding the scent of earthly sunshine. We stroll through the blooming gardens of Highgrove, the private residence of King Charles III. The grass bows before majestic silver lime trees, mimosas and cedars. Bees dance a dizzying dance of delight, sipping from the intoxicating flowers enveloped by a shady canopy of leaves.
