Dark Vanilla reveals the deep, dark, balsamic and sensual facets of vanilla pods. The fragrance is rounded off by spicy notes of pink pepper, woody rooibos and powdery notes of heliotrope and tonka bean.
The story
Perfumer Marie Urban Le Febvre and her husband Alexander Urban, both experts in the field of fragrance, founded the Urban Scents manufactory in Berlin in 2014.
When Marie and Alexander first met, it wasn't just love at first sight, it was also the spontaneous familiarity of two people who share the same passions. Their love of adventure and enthusiasm for flying brought them together. With the founding of Urban Scents, they fulfilled their dream of creating their own brand.
They chose the elegant Charlottenburg district in cosmopolitan Berlin as the location for their laboratory. Here, Marie can combine her classic perfume expertise with the unique spirit of this vibrant, multicultural city.
Dreams & values
‘We have created our perfume collection in harmony with our values... both internal and external.’
One of these is to keep the creative process open by making the Berlin-based perfume creation laboratory accessible to perfume lovers. The fragrances are created in Berlin and the perfume oils are then blended in Grasse, France.
In addition to creativity and quality, responsibility is also part of Urban Scents' DNA. The perfumes are 100% made in Europe and trace their roots back to the tradition of perfume making as a craft. The brand works exclusively with small manufacturers whom Marie and Alexander know personally. The midnight blue bottles with the propeller logo, for example, are made in a glassworks in France, the nickel-plated brass caps are turned by hand in Italy and the boxes come from a family-run packaging manufacturer in Germany.
