Avant et Après, like Tendre Nuit and Prends-moi (take-me), was one of Isabey's last launches in the 1930s.
Amidst romance and sensuality, this new fragrance shows the merging of two hearts in love. Who were they before? And what will they be afterwards? How they love each other is revealed in the sweet and salty notes of Avant et Après.
The name Avant et Après (before and after) evokes the emotions and transformation that arise from a unique encounter. The bright white colour of the bottle represents the purity of the moment, while the luminous gold colour of the label and ribbon symbolise a bright future.
For her first collaboration with Isabey, perfumer Marie Schnirer created a sunny, modern fragrance, a bouquet of feminine and sensual white flowers enhanced by salty notes: ‘Isabey is an inspiration of elegance, character and femininity. So it was interesting for me to compose a large bouquet of white flowers. What could be more feminine and sensual?’
Avant et Après consists of a sunny, creamy and intoxicating bouquet of white flowers, refreshed by a sea breeze. Vanilla, benzoin and musk underscore the sweetness and intensity of the tiaré flower in the base notes.
The fragrance by Marie Schnirer
‘I wanted to elegantly interpret a monoi accord and orange blossom in a contrasting fragrance that oscillates between contemporary opulence and freshness. I was inspired by a walk by the sea at dawn, the sensation of the fresh wind caressing my face in the bright light of the sunrise.’
