Halfeti draws inspiration from the lavish goods traded with Turkey: exotic florals, spices, soft leathers and precious fabrics. The fragrance is named for the small Turkish village of Halfeti, where enchanting “black” roses grow on the banks of the Euphrates River. Dark and mysterious, the roses are an intense shade of crimson, so dusky they appear to be black.
Halfeti is an exquisitely opulent woody floral, dazzling in the glow of luxurious golden saffron, decorated with bright citrus, green artemisia and woody cypress. An exquisitely multifaceted rose is set like a precious jewel amongst a silken bouquet of sweet florals. The lavish drydown with its overdose of dusky patchouly heart leads into a mélange of decadent resins, oud and ambergris, alongside velvet textured sandalwood and a suede-like leather.
Trade Routes
The collection comprises fragrances that are inspired by the luxurious and decadent commodities which were traded through London’s historic docks at the turn of the 19th Century. The rarest treasures from the far flung corners of the world piled up in abundance on the quays and every day more and more arrived. The warehouses were full with feathers, spices, silk, rare woods, tea, animal skins, fine porcelain, precious metals and gems. London was in a frenzy. London was the warehouse of the world. The preciousness and elegance of the goods that were traded on the London Docks inspired Penhaligon's to create their fragrance collection "Trade Routes".
