The sinful Berlin
The fetish: an object to which magical powers are attributed; an object of desire. The fragrance by J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin, which breathtakingly combines the origins of perfume making with Berlin's unbridled modernity.
Leder 6 is a modern interpretation of the Schwarzlose fragrance ‘Spanisch Leder’, reinvented here as an oriental leather fragrance. In this version, it has an addictive note, made possible by unique technologies and base substances from MANE, one of the world market leaders in fragrances.
Leather smells exciting, enveloping and wicked at the same time. In the base note, Leder 6 picks up on the old composition ‘Spanisch Leder’ by J.F. Schwarzlose Söhne, which electrified Berlin in the 1920s.
At first, the top note releases an accord of osmanthus absolute, the Chinese fragrant flower, which develops into a leathery, animalic note. Saffron essences round off this exciting first experience. The heart note surprises with milk and the warmth of vanilla: using the ‘Jungle Essence’ extraction process, it was possible to follow the base of ‘Spanisch Leder’ by J.F. Schwarzlose Söhne from 1921.
The combination of incense and Japanese styrax resins gives Leder 6 its sensual character. It evokes associations with the wicked, past and present world of Berlin, which is difficult to resist. Berlin is famous for its permissive club scene, which offers everything – really everything – without regret. From Berghain to Kitkat – there is a playground for everyone. This inspired Véronique Nyberg to give the leather theme a modern twist.
