‘If someone loves a flower that only exists once among millions and millions of stars, then just looking at it makes them happy.’ (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Der kleine Prinz (also known as 'The Little Prince'), 1943)
ManRose – a flattering fragrance for an elegant and cosmopolitan gentleman who is relaxed and confident in his dealings with conventions and defines gentleness as strength. Exceptional and masculine, the heart of ManRose reveals the aura of a noble rose. This perfume should by no means be interpreted solely as the epitome of femininity.
Since ancient Greece, the rose has been considered a mystical flower – it was, is and always will be a gender-neutral symbol of beauty, universal perfection, passion, innocence and elegance.
With ManRose, Etro celebrates the house's tradition of creating a perfume based on a single main fragrance component.
The fragrance
Like the individual petals of a rose, the magic of the fragrance composition unfolds. It opens with a citrus breeze of Calabrian bergamot, underpinned by striking, sharp cardamom and Szechuan pepper accords, to which radiant elemi lends softness. At the heart of the fragrance, the Turkish rose, revered by Sufi masters and alchemists alike, reveals its full magic, which, enveloped in sensual incense, gradually dissolves into velvety geranium notes. Nuances that feel fresh and warm on the skin – like the first rays of spring sunshine.
The finale is a fireworks display of musk, amber and patchouli, which combine with the masculine and powerful harmony of leather, vetiver and precious woods.
A depiction that anchors the timeless rose deep in the earth and in our souls. A fragrance that is like the flower in the buttonhole of an eternal poet and wanderer, whose aura shines like a rainbow of light.
