When should you wear this fragrance?
A great casual fragrance: wear The Soft Lawn on weekends or whenever you wish it were the weekend.
The story
Claude LeCoq published his first book, The Soft Lawn, in 1916 while still a student at Princeton University.
It is a controversial portrait of youthful rebellion among the upper classes of New England. The protagonist, Hampton Perry, is a charming but snobbish college tennis champion who, after years of having everything handed to him on a silver platter, has to give it all back.
A little-known fact about the author: Claude LeCoq wore only seersucker suits, which were known at the time as the wardrobe of the poor. It is said that his gallant presence at high society dinners and prestigious sporting events made the fabric popular among the wealthy in the 1920s.
