Story
A tip from a clairvoyant leads 23-year-old Neal Orris to a barn in rural Connecticut and to the passion of his late father, a 1964 Shelby Cobra Roadster, the escape he has been looking for for so long. After freeing his best friend Ike from his hopeless job on the family farm, the two hit the open highway. Their destination is the race tracks of Palm Springs, but their journey turns into a distorted vision of seedy motels, cool swimming pools, hot debutantes, cocktails and cigarette smoke. At every stop, the two friends invent new pseudonyms and identities for themselves, but their innocent game spirals into the depths of decadence and despair.
