Story
At the age of nineteen, Nica Galas published her first book, the autobiographical Falling into the Sea. It describes a brief and intense love affair set among the hot beaches and lemon trees of the Gulf of Naples. The breathtaking story begins with Nica and her friends picking jasmine flowers for boys as they jump off the cliffs into the sea. An innocent first kiss erupts into a passionate summer love affair that ends on a moonlit night when her lover jumps into the dark abyss, never to resurface. Nica is left naked on the cliffs, screaming his name.
