The composition
The name alone sounds promising: ‘Péché Cardinale’ – a cardinal sin is what we are presented with here. And the form it takes is already hinted at in a play on words: Le Péché is sin, but la Pêche is peach. So peach plays the leading role – and this one is something else...
A radiant representative of its kind with velvety skin and a hint of dew, accompanied by the tart freshness of blackcurrants, davana reminiscent of mango and honey, and hints of rich, fruity plum, which together form a still life. Right from the start, there is a hint of coconut, which remains present throughout the entire fragrance, which soon reveals a floral, almost tropical heart: Tuberose and lily to bring – in this particular case, we use this word because it is so apt – truly beguiling floral dreams, nestled on a creamy, soft and transparent woody base of sandalwood and musk.
Created by perfumer Amandine Marie from a palette of exquisite raw materials from the famous Robertet fragrance house, ‘Pêche Cardinale’ fits perfectly into the Parfums MDCI collection, which has impressed us from the very beginning with the quality of its fragrances, which testify to masterful craftsmanship: A beautiful, distinctly feminine and, yes, seductive fragrance that is young, lively and dynamic, while at the same time bearing the classically oriented and modern interpretation of the house's signature style.
