Matsu Kï from the Matsu Collection is a radiant fragrance that radiates joy, energy and youthful vitality.
The concept of Kï
The Japanese word "Kï" (気) represents spirit, vitality, and the invisible energy that flows through all things. Matsu Kï embodies this essence—a refreshing burst of life that captures a clear, stimulating energy. The floral, musky citrus composition, centered on orange blossom, combines sparkling brightness with delicate blossoms and a soft, airy warmth that evokes a sense of carefree happiness.
This vibrancy is also reflected in the design of the bottle. A smooth, round shape with a matte finish encapsulates the vibrant orange fragrance. The bold orange cap and white lettering create a striking contrast, reflecting the playful yet sophisticated character of the fragrance.
Kï – the fragrance
The fragrance begins with an invigorating opening of mandarin accord and bergamot. This opening is complemented by the juicy sweetness of raspberry and the candied citrus note of orange. The heart note blends French orange blossom with the calming note of lavender. The bright, floral notes of Tunisian neroli and pink peppercorn lend the fragrance a subtle glow. Finally, the fragrance culminates in a warm, sensual base note of orange blossom absolute, toasted caramel, amber wood, and soft musk, offering a captivating contrast of radiant brightness and indulgent warmth. Modern yet warm.
Commentary by the perfumer Leonardo Lucheze
"I wanted to create a fragrance that sits between French elegance and Japanese delicacy, reinterpreting the timeless orange blossom with refinement and indulgence. To enhance this orange blossom, I chose Keraji mandarin orange—for its natural, sweet, and tangy side—and an orangette accord—for its delicious candied facets. This created a contrast of vibrancy and warmth, revealing a subtle balance: a fusion of Japanese purity and French depth, creating a desire that is both gentle and captivating." – Leonardo Lucheze
