Scents are the key to our memories, but also to our dreams. Anyone who has ever lain with their eyes closed in soft, mossy grass and breathed in the scent of freshly mown grass knows what enormous power such a scent can have. Dreaming, close to nature, feeling it, breathing it in, touching it, exploring it with your nose, mouth and hands, tasting it, feeling at one with the elements. The vastness of the African Serengeti, the endless grasslands of the tundra or the fascination of the Mongolian steppe – all this is also contained in every blade of grass, no matter how inconspicuous it may seem, no matter where in the world it grows.
The top note of SEPT.21.1966 reveals a surprising abundance of naturalness, touched by roasted aromas that are reminiscent of sun-warmed hay and green grass accords. This unusual combination underlines the warm character that unfolds beneath the mild freshness. The invigorating maté tea leaves add a gentle tartness, creating an uplifting and lively effect. Pink pepper berries and rhubarb gently round off this unusual arrangement, adding a subtle spice that appears contrasting and complex.
The heart of this intoxicating fragrance is mysterious and mystical. Cotton-soft, vanilla-scented heliotrope meets graceful magnolia blossoms, which enchant with their delicate scent. Earthy powderiness with a hint of smoke underscores the contrasting interplay of this sophisticated creation. Creamy sandalwood nuances and precious wood accords in the base of SEPT.21.1966 create a touching, goose bump-inducing sensuality and majestic well-being. A minimal and carefully measured hint of the most precious oud oil gives the green floral composition a fascinating brilliance and radiant depth. Mystical, contemplative incense also ensures extremely high recognition value in Rundholz Parfums' second fragrance and follows the olfactory thread.
Once again, renowned perfumer Arturetto Landi was won over for this trusting collaboration. He was also the one who created the debut fragrance and successfully translated Rundholz's vision into olfactory form. He enjoyed this work with great enthusiasm and in-depth expertise, and was given no budgetary constraints. With SEPT.21.1966, the Italian perfumer has created an invitation to pause, to be mindful and to perceive the essential. Pure, unadulterated and genuine.
