The fragrance Cravache was originally created in 1963 and is considered the first men's fragrance from Robert Piguet. Its name, which translates as “riding crop,” is a declaration of love for equestrian sports and nature. It was inspired by memories of a warm summer's day in Italy: enjoying the wide open countryside on horseback, feeling the warm rays of the sun on your skin. A pleasant breeze carries the scent of blossoming lemon trees and dried grasses, as well as lavender fields nearby and secluded spots waiting to be discovered...
Tart bergamot and juicy mandarin with a subtle sweetness open the fragrance in a dynamic way, soon flanked by herbaceous, spicy lavender, whose flowers shine in the most beautiful dark purple. Saffron provides intelligent contrasts, exuding subtle peppery notes, while sage adds dark green accents with its aromatic herbal character. Earthy patchouli gives the fragrance body and depth, emphasizing its complexity. Visa finds its crowning glory in the salty smokiness of magnificent vetiver grass.
As a tribute to the European tradition of classic colognes, Cravache has a timeless relevance that makes the fragrance an ideal and stylish companion for any occasion.
(The fragrance was changed from Eau de Toilette to Eau de Parfum in 2022, resulting in a minimal change in scent.)
