What does Noble Isle mean?

Noble Isle is the first recorded name used for Great Britain in the 15th century. ‘This Nobill Isle, callit Gret Britanee,’ declared James III of Scotland during the preparations for the wedding of his son and Cecily of England in 1474.

Britain in a Bottle

The founders of Noble Isle travelled extensively throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland to identify truly authentic British ingredients that capture the characteristics of each island, provide skincare benefits and live up to the Noble Isle coat of arms: the Coat of Balms. Noble Isle's luxurious lotions and wash gels contain extracts sourced only from the most renowned local producers. The rhubarb comes from England, sea oak from Ireland, barley malt from Scotland and beetroot from Wales.

The Coat of Balms – the coat of arms as a seal of quality

As Noble Isle attaches great importance to its British heritage and the high quality of the ingredients it uses, the brand's logo is also based on this philosophy. The blossoming emblem of Noble Isle is the work of an artist from Cornwall and is composed of many individual drawings. The most famous flowers from the various British Isles can be recognised, arranged in the freestanding bathtub so typical of Great Britain.

Rose – the rose is known as England's national flower.

Daffodil – the daffodil represents Wales.

Thistle – the thistle is the symbol of Scotland.

Clover – the four-leaf clover represents Ireland.
