The scented candle collection, developed in collaboration with the National Museum of Natural History in Paris, has been expanded to include a new fragrance: Frangipani, or Plumeria, a scientific name that honors French botanist Charles Plumier (1646–1704).
Commonly known as frangipani, the fragrant tree is named after the Italian Marquis Frangipani, who created a perfume in the 16th century that closely resembled frangipani. Originally from Central America, the frangipani tree is an ornamental shrub with white, yellow, or pink fragrant flowers that is very common in the tropics.

Carrière Frères x The Museum – a meaningful collaboration
Thanks to its collaboration with the National Museum of Natural History, Carrière Frères decided to draw on the historical richness of botany and centuries of enlightened research. In the 19th century, when Carrière Frères was founded, science and botany were at the service of industry and progress.
The museum's parchments, extremely delicate drawings, reveal rare or never-before-seen plants and initiate new geographical and olfactory explorations. This unique collection is part of an extensive iconographic collection that bears witness to the relationship between art and science, which in turn is a source of inspiration for Carrière Frères.
As a public and scientific institution, the museum tirelessly carries out research, expertise, conservation, and educational activities that shed light on both the past and the future. As a true ambassador, the museum ensures the preservation of biological diversity. This work is also at the heart of Carrière Frères' commitment, which, through this collaboration, provides financial support for the museum's numerous activities and projects.
