The scent of the gods
Late summer is the height of fig season in the Mediterranean region. This is especially true in Greece, where figs have been revered for centuries. In Greek mythology, the first fig tree was created when the rebellious Sykeus was transformed into a fig tree by his mother Gaia, the goddess of the earth, to save him from the wrath of Zeus.
Athenean is a revision of the Figuier fragrance. Here, the focus is on the fragrant wood of the fig tree. Aquatic green fig notes are balanced by warm, milky undertones of sandalwood and white musk.
