Frapin - Checkmate
Henri Frapin prefers to spend his springtime on Sundays in the garden of his estate, which was built in 1702 and is located above the production site. He thinks of the region with its forests, rivers, and meadows where he was born and which is in his blood. He considers it his home, which the family has farmed since 1889. His favourite time has come when he meets with his son around 11 am, when the sun's rays warm the forest above Segonzac. The chessboard is ready, his son sits and resumes the metaphorical battle with his father in the joys of the game. The sun warms the citrus fruits ripening in the bowl on the table, while their blossoms and the lilies lining the path to the château shed their clouds of dew and open to fill the air with their fragrances.
