‘I decided to put the word ‘Maison’ in front of my name. This is not a stylistic decision, but rather a means of expressing what I believe in: a house has a soul and a history, inhabitants and friends and sometimes children. All the feelings associated with ‘home’ come together in this word and fuel my dream: to create small pleasures and inspire others. My ‘home’ brings together the various activities that led to its creation. Firstly, my work as a perfumer for major fashion, cosmetics and luxury brands. Then the production of customised perfumes, which I have been offering to a private clientele since 2001, followed by artistic projects in Paris, Versailles and New York. Over time, the olfactory and graphic creations were added, which eventually led to a line of perfumed products under the name ‘Maison Francis Kurkdjian’.’
Aus Liebe zum Duft was founded back in 2000, as we were one of the first to recognise the opportunities offered by an online presence. At that time, it was almost unimaginable to offer the finest luxury products on the internet. The foresight to take the plunge anyway laid the foundation for a steady-growing and prosperous company, which is what First in Fragrance is today. In 2016, a strong alliance was forged with the company Nägele & Strubell, which includes the well-known boutiques Le Parfum and Kussmund in Vienna, in addition to 18 other brick-and-mortar stores in Austria. With our combined strengths, we will continue to do everything we can to offer you only the best from the world of fragrances and beauty.
