Vaquera introduces Classique Perdu, the first fragrance in collaboration with Comme des Garçons Parfums.
A scent that feels like a perfume you once knew, then forgot, and have just stumbled upon in the back of a clearance shelf. Inspired by the scent of perfume ads in 90s fashion magazines, the scent of freshly dried hair after a shower, the scent of your childhood car’s air conditioning, and the metallic sparkle of a summer fountain—woven with mystery, nostalgia—Classique Perdu invites you to rediscover a fragrance that feels both familiar and forgotten, an iconic scent lost and found again.
Packaged in inexpensive packing peanuts and housed in a simple transparent box plastered with clearance stickers, Classique Perdu embraces imperfection and memory. It evokes the thrill of rediscovery and the strange romance of the discarded: a forgotten treasure, plucked from the aisles of a thrift store.
The fragrance itself is an aromatic, floral, and green composition. It opens with Lavandin, Tomato Leaf, Permanent Marker accord, and Blackcurrant Berries Symtrap, unfolds into Clary Sage, Iris, and Solar Rose, and lingers with Styrax Resin, Sandalwood, Sympep, Evernyl, and a Suede Accord.
“A rediscovered classic, found where you least expect it.” Vaquera
“I’ve always been attracted to Vaquera’s iconoclastic tendencies. So I was shocked to discover the title Classique Perdu. But then I realised it made perfect sense. What next? L’Éternité Retrouvée? I can’t wait.” Adrian Joffe, CEO of Comme des Garçons International
