Pantomime Perfume was founded in 2023 by creative director Jeroen Oude Sogtoen and in-house perfumer Fredrik Dalman. The extraordinary brand seeks ‘clarity in the opaque’ through special raw materials and their composition. Pantomime perfumes are created to enhance your memories, stories and emotions. We provide the stage, you play the role. No words, just perfume. Inspired by different places and times, Pantomime creates the stage to evoke emotions and feelings. The result is a new language that represents scents in sounds, textures, shapes or colours.
Jeroen Oude Sogtoen – Founder & Creative Director
Jeroen Oude Sogtoen, founder and creative mind behind Pantomime, lives in Amsterdam. His roots and creative talent stem from his many years of experience in fashion and design. With Pantomime, he wants to explore the true meaning of luxury while challenging its creative boundaries. In all his creations, his focus is always on originality and olfactory innovation.
Fredrik Dalman – Accord Parfums – In-house perfumer
Fredrik's style of perfumery is linked to his love of storytelling. Fragrances are his medium of choice for telling these stories, as they require no words to evoke emotions and images.
Jeroen and Fredrik have set themselves the goal of creating a new olfactory language for Pantomime Parfum. In their search for ‘clarity in the opaque’ through unusual raw materials and their deconstruction, they create fragrances that offer space for your memories, your stories, your feelings.
The modern age of old-school synthetics
Today's fragrance market is full of brands that focus on the beauty of synthetic raw materials. Ingredients such as Iso E Super (1973), Ambroxan (1949) and Javanol (1960) are no longer trade secrets, but powerful marketing tools. However, the popularity of these synthetic substances is also their timeliness – their beauty leads to excessive use. In a perfumer's laboratory, there is a wealth of fascinating molecules just waiting to take centre stage. And at Pantomime Parfum, this is exactly what is happening with Ambrettolide HC Supreme (2018), Bisabolene (1960), Methyl Ionone Alpha Extra (1893), Lactone of Cis Jasmone (1973) and Vetiverol (1950). Fragrances with clarity, texture and lightness – like abstract painting – present but not tangible, diffuse yet perceptible and, above all, long-lasting.
Main stage
Synthetic raw materials are the foundation of modern perfumery. They allow the perfumer to create colour and texture by directing light onto a specific part of the creation and adding shadow or depth to other parts. This allows them to literally paint their own scent dream in any colour, shape or texture they desire. Pantomime Perfume seeks clarity in depth. Our approach is that a synthetic raw material plays the leading role – that is the clarity. By adding a few well-chosen natural ingredients, we can add depth. What connects them is their highest possible quality. By playing with this concept, we can create any stage setting we want, and then leave the choice up to you.

The acts show scenes, places you can discover. We take the wearer to more than just a specific place. Each act adds another dimension with its finely tuned details, moods and the atmosphere it creates.
