The inspiration
The Romans were the original perfume connoisseurs, constantly searching for the finest things in life. They collected perfume oils and ingredients from across the empire and followed the Silk Road from west to east. Fragrances were woven into the rich fabric of everyday life. Fountains were scented with rose water and perfume was part of cleansing rituals, celebrations, festivals, seduction and worship.
The perfume house
The fascination with this epic led to the founding of the house in 2015 by Luke Granger and Jason Collison. In 2020, Claire Sokell Thompson joined the team of this modern perfume house as Creative & Communications Director. The company remains independent and owner-managed and is not afraid to do things differently. It has already worked with some of the world's most talented perfumers, including Julien Rasquinet, Christian Provenzano, John Stephen, Marco Genovese and Sofia Bardelli.
