V Canto - Isotta

The inspiration for this fragrance was one of the most influential figures ever to live in Gradara Castle: Princess Isotta, wife of Prince Sigismondo. She was not only a beautiful, charming and intelligent woman, but also a sophisticated strategist with great skills in the arts of diplomacy and war.

Wise and determined, capable of commanding armies and ruling alongside her prince, she was as strong and determined as the essence inspired by her. The fragrance opens with a bouquet of Mediterranean citrus fruits, carefully balanced by the balsamic freshness of eucalyptus and the sparkling liveliness of Japanese green tea. The captivating top note rests on an opulent heart of beguiling flowers. The power of this perfume is based on a well-structured and elegant base of leather, cedarwood and vanilla.

Mehr über V Canto

The V Canto collection was inspired by one of the most beautiful love stories in the world and by a love for one's roots and homeland.

For over 700 years, the Terenzi family has lived near the Castello di Gradara, one of the oldest castles in Italy. This family of travellers and explorers settled among the beautiful hills, forests and the Adriatic Sea, a family that loves to come home after their adventures, to a place where the scents and colours are dominated by the blue velvet shadows of the sea.

Much of the creative energy and love of beauty that characterises all the Terenzi's works comes from this wild but beautiful area.

Breathing the air beneath the great tower, rich in history and secrets, walking along the high walls of the castle, once defended by our ancestors with their lives, building sandcastles on the beach and dreaming while standing at the highest point of the cliffs – this brings our souls closer to who we are and allows us to understand history.

Even the poet prince Dante Alighieri, one of the greatest figures Italy has ever seen, honoured this place with a chapter of his most famous work: the Comedìa, better known as the Divine Comedy. A poem written in tercets with endecasillabi (eleven-syllable lines) in Florentine dialect, composed between 1304 and 1321. The Comedy is one of the most important testimonies of medieval culture; known and studied worldwide, it is considered the greatest literary work of all time.
