White Cristal
The leitmotif for this perfume is rum, a highly appealing accord that combines with seductive and profound patchouli to capture the sultry heat of the Caribbean. Nutmeg, cedarwood and Brazilian rosewood lend this mysterious aura an additional depth. The delicious and intoxicating alcohol makes us resistant to nothing and leads us into temptation to taste forbidden fruits.
Emotion: The Artificial Paradises
The men's fragrances embody ‘The Artificial Paradises’ as a black sun, symbolising the dark side of beauty. To experience paradise, a man must face magic. For these two fragrances herald a new paradise that man has chosen for himself.
The refillable bottle
"This bottle evokes a multitude of sensory impressions. Matt and shiny. Smooth and rough. Black and transparent. Hot and cold. It seems as if the protective shield engraved on the side places me under the protection of a fallen angel. In search of my own identity, I find myself in a name. The monogram, the ‘K’, is reminiscent of his black masterpiece, my secret accomplice. This object is my very own talisman."
The bottle from the perspective of an innocent. The Greek motif – Achilles' shield – places this fragrance under divine protection, offering the wearer additional protection. The bottle is reminiscent of offerings made to the gods to grant the wearer protection and the gift of seduction.
L'Œuvre Noire
"When I conceived L'Œuvre Noire, I had an almost Faustian scene in mind. I wanted to create a spell like those that darkened Rimbaud's mind or those conjured up by the witches in Macbeth. At the same time, I thought of contemporary R&B music, listening to the lyrics of 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Pharell Williams, who all speak of seduction despite the omnipresent urban violence, as Baudelaire did in his lyrical prose."
