A Trudon journey to the desert and sand dunes with the woody, floral fragrance.
The call of the Desert
Sensual and opulent, Altaïr is a woody-floral fragrance: blending oud and peony, it offers a sensory immersion that brings forward the heat of the desert, its sandy winds and enveloping flowers.
Using warm and amber tones, the collection reinterprets sand dunes in a modern, graphic way: its design plays with sculptural light and golden-brown shadows, with shifting ripples on the desert surface and key geometric elements. Altaïr transports us to a majestic, dreamlike destination.
An Oneiric Destination
First, you feel the woods and then comes the soft peony: it brings out the fragrance’s rosy side and a beige-pink universe reminiscent of sand dunes. Altaïr brings together beautiful, timeless, raw materials (sandalwood, cedar, styrax, agarwood); although distinctive, all ingredients come together in a common chromatic universe.
“Altaïr is highly symbolic: it portrays the strength of wood and earth with the finesse of flowers.” — Émilie Bouge, Perfumer
Created by perfumer Émilie Bouge (Robertet), Altaïr reveals a distinctive attraction to faraway lands: “I composed Altaïr as an opulent, elegant, nude and resolutely modern fragrance: the exotic, gentle and enveloping scent transports us to an imaginary destination,” explains the perfumer. Altaïr’s woody-floral duality is immediately appealing: a warm peony blends with the strength of oud; it is further revealed by a deep, textured leather-suede note.
Amber & Gold Thread
“I try to visualize each olfactory composition with colours. With Altaïr, I picture the soft hues of wood and sand dunes, with a touch of nude. The fragrance evokes beige-rose, luminous and amber tones.“ — Émilie Bouge, Perfumer
True to Trudon’s craftsmanship, the Altaïr collection evokes the warmth of the desert: the amber-colored glass shines with warm reflections. Hand-crafted in Italy, the candle glass is all the more luminous with the golden Trudon emblem. Elegantly fluted on the outside, the diffu ser echoes the architectural striations of the dunes, further highlighted by a golden fret and emblem.
A golden thread runs on the box: hot-stamped, it undulates/flows across the surface in a graphic way, like the many ripples carved by the wind on the surface the dunes.
