Art and sharing describe the design collaborations and exchanges that the brand develops. The Lux Visionaria fragrance therefore launches a new collection by describing the friendship between Bianca de la Garza, a Mexican-American journalist and television personality. Filippo and Bianca met a few years ago in Rome while the team was shooting a documentary about Italy, its capital and its attractions.
From then on, their mutual interest in creating a four-handed work that could seal the friendship between two seemingly different people who nevertheless share a fundamental connection – beauty and intellectual openness – grew.
Lux Visionaria speaks of both feelings, of the search for the beyond that consumes and defines us, that listens to our distorted perceptions and reshapes them, that makes us look up without forgetting our history, in a meditative cosmos full of colours.
We stand here before ourselves, feeling the weight of our weaknesses and searching for a precise point of reference that leaves its mark and allows us to recognise the path we have taken.
It is important to look within ourselves. The eye rests on our decisions, on the truth that is our worldview, in complete harmony, so as not to fall, in search of a message that perfumes and contaminates our lives.
The truth today lies in letting go of loneliness and transforming it into a gift, in finding curiosity itself in the silence that cries out and conjures up the light. This is the true conquest, this is the true victory over darkness, because light smells of infinity and destroys every bad idea about the things that surround our existence.
The light comes to us, the crystal stands before our eyes, dense, impenetrable, but necessary to see through it the extraordinary in our ordinary, the new in the everyday, the clear light after the forest of colours.
Lux Visionaria helps us to look upwards, gives us unexpected developments, returns us to a state of suspension in which we marvel at the existence of the world and thus at our own existence. At beautiful things and at a new need to programme ourselves in order to clothe ourselves in infinity.
The packaging also tells the story of the relationship between Filippo and Bianca. It is entirely handmade: the fragrance comes in a black and white box featuring Filippo Sorcinelli's now recognisable motifs and is covered with a shimmering foil. A genuine amethyst crystal is set in the white wooden cap.
