Eau Superbe pour Homme was created in 1820 by Jean Rancé.
Jean Rancé saw the young Napoleon Louis Bonaparte, son of Napoleon Louis' brother, as proud and magnificent. Banished from France, the young Louis fought for the return of Napoleonic glory. Perhaps Jean already sensed his significant destiny: years later, this boy became Emperor Napoleon III.
Jean could sense his strong emotions and noble soul and expressed them through green accords and citrus fruits, with carnation adding intensity and mint a touch of youth. Amber envelops the wearer with its elegant and refined fragrance, while patchouli and leather hint at strength and endurance. A young and exciting creation full of personality.
