A few drops of petitgrain and bitter orange pave the way for opulent vanilla, which is made even more gourmand by orange blossom. Almond, initially green, then soft and fluffy, combines the bitterness of bigarade with the balsamic roundness of vanilla, tonka bean and Peruvian balsam. An elixir to be enjoyed without moderation.
Kairos is the right moment, the time, the immediate intuition. Seizing Kairos means doing the right thing at the right time. In the ancient Greece of Aristotle, Kairos was THE right moment, the opportunity that had to be seized before it disappeared forever. The ancient Greeks depicted it as a young, winged god holding a set of scales in his hand, symbolising the moment when everything can be turned upside down. In art, it is the moment when the artist must follow his fleeting intuition to give shape to the essence of his work, but also to pause and let it live its own life.
‘I had been working on this vanilla for a long time without really seeing an end. A stroke of inspiration prompted me to add a generous dose of orange blossom with bitter almond as a binding agent. I'm so glad I did! It was a good decision!’
Artefacts
Artefacts refer to artificial, man-made objects or the artistic process from the Latin ars – art, facere – to make, to produce. In this collection, Anatole Lebreton wanted to explore the mechanisms of the creative act, drawing inspiration from significant events in human history. These artefacts are the result of olfactory excavations in unfamiliar perspectives and distant viewpoints.
