Every Florentine knows this special lion: Marzocco. The noble heraldic animal, and one of the symbols of Florence, holds a shield with the Florentine lily on it in its paw. Created by sculptor Donatello in 1420, the sculpture now stands in the Museo del Bargello, with a prominent and unmissable sandstone copy in Piazza della Signora, in front of the Palazzo Vecchio.
The bottle of Roberto Ugolini's Marzocco is also very Florentine in style, in a warm purple, another colour that is very typical of Florence.
The mane of the proud Marzocco shines brightly under the Italian sun, with the fruity and tangy citrus notes of mandarin, lime and lemon that embody the spirit of the Italian summer. Magnificent orange blossoms and beguiling jasmine exude their unique, enchanting nobility, which honours the ‘Marzocco’, the famous lion and king of animals. The base is delicate, skilfully balanced and distinguished, with a masterfully coordinated blend of tart, spicy vanilla accents, fine, mystical patchouli, dry cedarwood, powdery musk and a selection of the finest woods.
Marzocco once again demonstrates the mastery of experienced noses Maurizio Cerizza and Cristian Calabrò, who have perfectly implemented the concept of creative mind Herbert Stricker. With this composition, the Marzocco emblem is brought back to life from its nearly 600-year slumber. An olfactory renaissance for connoisseurs and lovers of excellent perfumes.
