The Diary of a Perfume – The Fragrance of Polynesia
The voice of the sea carries many thoughts, witnesses of memories brought to the beach by the breeze. Sometimes, at high tide, submerged sensations resurface, soothing our soul like salt on our skin. Every grain of sand that emerges from the water shines anew in the sun. A bright ray testifies to the rebirth of my soul, while on the horizon the sky and sea merge into an infinite blue.
Moorea – the fragrance
We are by the sea, and this is expressed olfactorily by the Polynesian fragrance ‘Moorea’ from the first chapter, ‘The Synesthesia of Fragrances,’ by Simone Andreoli. A citrus freshness lies in the wind, represented by tangy lime, delicate neroli and tart bergamot. Tropical tiare flowers, green violet leaves and floral notes of narcissus and ylang-ylang exude the blossoming charm of the South Seas. A sophisticated base of spicy ambergris, rich patchouli and earthy vetiver provides depth and longevity. ‘Moorea’ is the floral and maritime fragrance of paradise that we can also find within ourselves.
Chapter 1: The synaesthesia of fragrances
Compositions are created from ink absorbed by rough pages. Their scent evokes afternoons on a sailing boat or dawn on a balcony. They are like walks by the sea on summer days and in autumn – sparkling, fresh fragrances full of life.
Simone Andreoli
Production is based on a fundamental principle: research. At Simone Andreoli, they love to create perfumes in an original way that are not subject to fleeting fashions, but rather emphasise the individuality of each person and stand out from the ordinary and mass-produced.
