The first edition of Lys Noir was developed in 1924. It was presented in a magnificent bottle created by renowned designer Julien Viard and the famous Sorys House in a coffret.
Lys Noir was one of the fragrances, alongside Gardenia, Route D'Emeraude and Le Mimosa, that helped establish the prestige of the House of Isabey. In 2014, ninety years later, Isabey presented a revised version of Lys Noir, in keeping with the brand's iconic Art Deco style.
Lys Noir is a mysterious, desirable perfume dedicated to an elegant lady with enchanting charm. A ‘Femme du Monde’ whose fragrance is her signature and part of her personality. She enchants those around her with her own style and does not follow current trends.
She loves to travel the world and leaves an unforgettable mark wherever her path takes her... An intense and unique fragrance dedicated to women in search of the ultimate fresh perfume.
The fragrance
Lys Noir plays with the contrasts surrounding the lush and beguiling scent of lilies. The aromas of black pepper enhance the opulent hint of intoxicating flowers: tuberose and narcissus characterise this mysterious aura with their spicy, animalistic facets. In the base, patchouli uses its dark, attractive appeal in a play between ebony and the accord of milky sandalwood. A forbidden game, gently enveloped in a hint of musk.
The bottle
A black lacquered bottle bearing the silver design of the original Lys Noir bottle. The Art Deco-style cap complements the existing fragrance collection.
The box
An elegant box in keeping with the Isabey collection. It opens like a magic box with a sliding lid to reveal the bottle like a jewel.
