"My loyalty to jasmine stems from my childhood in Grasse. As a child, I often harvested jasmine at dawn and selected each individual white, porcelain-like flower. In the morning, they smell green, transparent and pure. By midday, even the smallest leaves have developed a warm orange blossom scent. At night, the forgotten, then wilted flowers unfold a blissful, animalistic, deep fragrance. Jasmine changes its scent depending on the time of day. This admirable work of nature inspired me to imagine the fragrance differently, to play with its elements and transform it. I wanted to create a unique jasmine fragrance that would be incomparable for all time." – Jean-Claude Ellena

Grasse is the cradle of perfumery. Some of the world's finest raw materials are produced in this small French town in the south of France. This beautiful region welcomes us with its precious flowers and timeless aromas. In 2018, UNESCO declared Grasse a World Heritage Site for its exceptional expertise in raw material development and the art of perfume composition. Perris Monte Carlo wanted to create fragrances that embody the history and unique craftsmanship of Grasse. Fragrances that reflect the quality and true meaning of French perfumery. Gian Luca Perris enlisted one of today's most famous perfumers for this task: Jean-Claude Ellena.
