The composer
Pierre Bourdon created the first fragrance for Parfums MDCI Paris for men. Numerous perfume houses such as Yves Saint Laurent, Davidoff and Christian Dior have already had the good fortune to work with this experienced master of the art of perfumery. His contribution to Parfums MDCI is a daring yet extremely harmonious composition that can be described as a fresh, woody and spicy blend. However, the result surpasses the concept by miles!
The challenge was to reflect the complex emotions of strength, power and prosperity, starting from the filigree bust on the top of the bottle.
The composition
A dynamic and daring fragrance, designed to convey a feeling of strength, power and prosperity, inspired by the impressive bust that crowns the bottle.
Ambre Topkapi opens with bergamot, spiced with ginger and cooling accords of basil, thyme and lavender. The heart notes, with their combination of fine leather and sweet sandalwood, lend the entire blend a depth and warmth that can only be described as priceless. The base notes of vanilla and amber reinforce this impression and give the fragrance an oriental undertone.
This fragrance combines tradition and modernity to create a timeless masterpiece of the olfactory arts.
The bottle
This glass bottle by Parfums MDCI is decorated with a red gold ribbon. Its shape is inspired by ancient Doric columns, with a rounded capital and base. This bottle can replace both the crystal and Limoges edition bottles.
