At first, Mazzolari's creations were only available in the two shops in Milan. Founded in 1888 by Augusto Mazzolari, the business was passed down to his son Ferdinando and then to his son Augusto.

Augusto Mazzolari was born on 26 May 1940 in Milan and began his journey of discovery into the world of perfume as a child. His story tells of a passion for fragrances that began at home in a room at the end of the hallway, a workshop where his father kept many different colognes, perfume ingredients and empty bottles. Shortly after creating his first fragrances, ‘MA’, ‘Jangada’ and ‘Monsieur Odar’, he launched his first cosmetics line, Biosterel International, and his first store in 1966.

In the early '70s, the number of his boutiques had grown, and in the '80s, so did his perfumes and cosmetics lines, which he created with extreme passion and dedication. A great passion, driven by respect for tradition, the desire to create high-quality products ‘Made in Italy’ and the constant search for innovation – qualities on which his success was based.

True to the philosophy of the house, the precious perfume creations are only presented in a few select stores, including ours.
