2018 is a very special year for Etro. The Italian company is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its designer brand. Like any long journey, it began at Etro's roots in Milan and took the brand around the world. Today, the fashion, lifestyle and perfume label is more popular and successful than ever before.
To mark its 50th anniversary, Etro is launching a very special fragrance, Udaipur – an eau de parfum named after the ‘white city’ on Lake Pichhola in Rajasthan.
What images remain in your memory after a trip to India? The endless, shimmering sky, the sparkling rays of a handful of rubies, the hint of a desert beyond the horizon? This is how the traditional house pays tribute to the many facets of a country that is so infinitely rich in stories, contrasts, millennia-old customs and the never-ending contrast between past and modernity.
The fragrance opens with noble Indian jasmine, whose gentle freshness invites you to dream. Gardenia exudes elegant femininity and lotus blossoms unfold their seductive charm, refined by the tingling sharpness of pink pepper and the intoxicating depth of magnolia blossoms. The multifaceted accords of patchouli intertwine with cashmere and musk as if in an embrace.
Udaipur – a captivating, surprising interpretation of a fragrance journey through India that fascinates with ever-changing nuances. Sometimes the fragrance transports us to the wonderland of a royal palace garden, sometimes to a spice market in the early dawn that beguiles the senses, sometimes to a story from ‘1001 Nights’.
