Jannat means paradise, where the elements blossom in their original purity. This Eau de Parfum is like a reconciliation with the senses, a garden of discovery. With notes of Grapefruit, Orange Blossom and Ginger, Jannat is a scent filled with joy, plenitude and harmony, like a peaceful landscape.
A bat of an eyelash. Oil of grapefruit. A tinkle of laughter. Orange blossom. A river of flowers and fruits. Oil of neroli. A dazzling light. Gentian absolute. A breeze of youthfulness. Ginger. Joie de vivre and airiness. Musk. Paradise. Jannat.
"Jannat" – the wild flowers of paradise
This fragrance is dedicated to the Jannat al-'Arif, the Generalife, the former palace gardens lying in close proximity to the Alhambra of the Nasrid Emirs of Granada, one of the oldest remaining Moorish gardens and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Or perhaps it means Jannah, the Arab-Islamic counterpart to (Christian) paradise, the Garden of Eden?
Aliénor Massenet's idea of paradise is that of a place full of joy, full of life and laughter, a lively, undisguised and authentic place with an abundance of fruits and flowers where you feel immediately protected and at home.
"Jannat" lets such a garden (Eden) become reality in the top notes: sparkling, fresh and cheerful. Hesperidian notes of bergamot, lemon, tangerine and orange suggest a whole plantation full of citrus trees amidst a sea of flowers, gently lain on a base of musk, tonka bean and liatrix with its fine green-vanilla aroma.
