Tweed... utterly enchanting! Old-fashioned and utterly modern, with a hipster avant-garde touch born of a love of tradition. A personality with balanced contrasts... coarse and fine, down-to-earth and dreamy, masculine and feminine.
"The fragrance reveals a complex and multifaceted character, evoking a range of mixed emotions associated with the fabric it is named after: tweed is dry, rough wool, dyed in beautiful colours that can reveal contrasting shades. Sometimes a pewter-red thread lies on a steel-blue background or a grass-green thread on an orange base. The fragrance reflects the senses' search for harmony in contrasts: the opening has a dry, hot, powerful accord with black pepper adding powderiness. In the heart, a playful note (an almost childlike red fruit) combines with vetiver and a cashmeran accord, making it rather sober and elegant. Benzoin resin and ambroxan make the finish unexpectedly sweet, crisp and powdery, blending perfectly with the top notes. I believe it was not easy to work with contrasting emotions while maintaining elegance and balance in the composition, but Jean Jacques has succeeded in doing so, and the result is a fragrance that is both sophisticated and a joy to wear, despite its many facets. The fragrance celebrates the complexity of real tweed in a surprisingly authentic way. Marika Vecchiattini
