A ritual in the holy Kiso forest: ceremonial katana unguent of rare woods, temple incense, leather bushi armor.
"Amber is not something we've tackled before. In typical DSD fashion, I went down the rabbit hole and created a world around the mythical idea of amber. For me, amber is the raw material that conjures up our distant past. I tried to work with it in new and exciting ways." – D.S.
D.S. & Durga's Amber cycle draws heavily on myths, history and rituals associated with places that produce amber. Amber extracts are often linked to religious and sacred ceremonial practices. Like myths themselves, amber recipes change over time and are constantly being reinterpreted. Like myths, their scent draws us back to a primal origin.
