The perfume manufacturer J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin is rewriting an exciting chapter of its history with Etrango. In 1929, the first Etrango fragrance with the orange-gold city skyline on the glass bottle was described as a ‘fantasy fragrance’: innovative, powerful and timeless.
Lutz Herrmann's new Etrango picks up on the iconic bottle design and makes a statement that embodies self-confidence, elegance and urban timelessness. The new design is skilfully reflected in the imagery, lettering and presentation of the 100 ml bottle.

Etrango, whose roots lie in Berlin in 1929, is the 11th Schwarzlose fragrance and the most complex the perfume manufacturer has ever developed. Based on an original that was already described as a ‘fantasy perfume’ at the beginning of the 20th century, perfumer Véronique Nyberg has composed a voluminous cocktail of aromas that reflects all facets of the capital city in olfactory form: ‘Etrango's warmth has the power to harmoniously unite apparent contrasts – just as everyone can create their own version of Berlin and these projections form an overall picture.’ To bring this to life in Etrango, opulent floral notes, exotic spice aromas and an earthy trio of patchouli, moss and cypriol unfold their effects," says the southern Frenchwoman.
