Aqaysos [a-kwa-i-zos] from the Black Collection presents striking crystalline facets of spices, fruits and woods. Both aesthetic and mysterious, this crystalline, woody fragrance is the product of Pierre Guillaume's inimitable imagination.
This flexible olfactory structure was inspired by the clear character of a crystal. In his composition, Pierre plays with our perception, similar to light hitting a crystal and refracting into new prisms. Fluid, transparent and with a strong sensual effect, Aqaysos impresses with its pulsating and woody character.
Pierre Guillaume - Black Collection
The term ‘art’ primarily encompasses the products of the ‘fine arts’: architecture, sculpture, painting, music, dance and literature. Film is also often included as the seventh art. To mark the eighth anniversary of his Parfumerie Générale line, perfumer Pierre Guillaume takes up critic Octavian Coifan's idea that perfume making may be ‘the eighth art’ and presents his new creations under the name ‘Huitième Art Parfums’.
The Black Collection comprises eight fragrance creations. What makes them special is that all the perfumes contain organic-quality natural plant ingredients combined with synthetic fragrance molecules – a synergy of natural, often organic essences and synthetic accords (phytoparfumery) that reflect the imagination of their creator, Pierre Guillaume.
Each of the Black Collection fragrances contains only two to three essences, breaking with the classic fragrance pyramid. The result is an elegant and unmistakably clear identity.
