Her name, which means ‘heart of gold,’ was given to her by the people of the land, who knew her for her kindness and generosity. Cuoredoro was different from all the other princesses in the kingdom. She possessed the grace and beauty befitting royalty, but it was her compassionate spirit that set her apart. Instead of spending her days in the castle, Cuoredoro roamed the countryside helping those in need. One day, as she was wandering through the village, Cuoredoro came across a group of children gathered around a frail old man. With wrinkled hands and a weary smile, he was struggling to carry a heavy load of firewood. Moved by compassion, Cuoredoro approached the old man and offered to help him. With a grateful nod, he accepted her help, and together they carried the firewood to his humble hut. Cuoredoro's kindness spread far and wide and reached the fairy queen who watched over the kingdom. Impressed by the princess's selflessness, the fairy queen decided to give her a magical gift. ‘My dear princess,’ said the fairy queen, ‘your heart of gold has touched the lives of many people. As a token of my gratitude for your kindness, I present you with this gift – a golden crown that will shine as brightly as your compassionate spirit.’ Cuoredoro accepted the crown with gratitude, knowing that it symbolised not only her royal status but also her commitment to kindness and compassion. From that day on, she ruled her kingdom with wisdom and compassion. People with hearts of gold are the wealth of this world.

Accendis is the result of my personal and spiritual search for inner light. In Latin, accendis means ‘you enlighten’, but also ‘you radiate’. I have always believed that pop art enlightens, in the sense that it can put things in a new light. Pop art has strongly influenced Accendis – both the shapes and the fragrances. The collection is my work and my passion. I have given my fragrances a strong personality because light is stronger than darkness. They are presented in a glass bottle as pure as crystal, in a box lined with precious velvet, because light must be well protected.’ Emy Rodriquens
