In an age when new perfumes come and go, there is nothing more exquisite than a timeless classic. Quelques Fleurs is one of the most renowned classic perfumes of all time, a fragrance against which all floral fragrance compositions will forever be measured.
Created by Houbigant, Quelques Fleurs made its debut in 1912 in Paris, a year of art. Braque and Picasso created Cubism, which revolutionised modern art, Stravinsky shook the world of music with ‘Le sacre du printemps’ and Nijinsky thrilled Paris with his dance. It was in this very year that Houbigant created his first fragrance with a genuine multi-floral bouquet. With thousands of flowers from the fields of the Domaine de Manon, located in the Grasse region of southern France, Quelques Fleurs is reminiscent of a wicker basket full of precious flowers.
Quelques Fleurs by Houbigant also captures the magic of spring in a fragrance. Delicate yet sensually powerful. This precious perfume gem is a tribute to the Golden Twenties – a delicate and precious replica of the Belle Époque, adapted to today's quality standards.
The composition of Quelques Fleurs has never been published. It contains a blend of delicate, sensual flowers and over 250 different raw materials. More than 15,000 flowers are needed to produce just one ounce, approx. 31 grams, of Quelques Fleurs Eau de Parfum. The high concentration of six absolutes is what makes Quelques Fleurs so precious.
The fragrance is still produced in Grasse, France, where Jean-François Houbigant created his first fragrance in 1775.
