With the Altaïr collection, Trudon travels to the desert with its sand dunes: the woody, floral fragrance combines the strong character of oud with the finesse of warm peony.
The call of the desert
The sensual and opulent fragrance Altaïr is a woody-floral scent: the blend of oud and peony immerses us sensually in the heat of the desert, its sandy winds and enveloping flowers.
With warm, amber tones, the collection reinterprets the sand dunes in a modern and vivid way: the design plays with monumental light and golden brown shadows, with moving waves on the desert surface and geometric elements. Altaïr transports us to a majestic and dreamlike place.
A place of dreams
First you notice the woods, then the delicate peony emerges, bringing out the rosy side of the fragrance and a beige-pink world reminiscent of sand dunes. Altaïr combines beautiful, timeless raw materials (sandalwood, cedarwood, styrax, agarwood) that are different but come together in a shared colour palette.
‘Altaïr is highly symbolic: it combines the power of wood and earth with the delicacy of flowers.’ — Émilie Bouge, perfumer
Altaïr was created by perfumer Émilie Bouge (Robertet) and expresses a longing for faraway places: "I composed Altaïr as an opulent, elegant, naked and decidedly modern fragrance: The exotic, gentle and enveloping fragrance transports us to an imaginary destination," she explains. The woody-floral duality of Altaïr is instantly captivating: warm peony blends with the strength of oud, further deepened by a deep, structured suede note.
The colours of gold and amber
‘I try to visualise each fragrance composition with colours. With Altaïr, I imagine the soft shades of wood and sand dunes, with a hint of nakedness. The fragrance is reminiscent of beige-pink, luminous and amber tones.’ — Émilie Bouge, perfumer
True to Trudon's craftsmanship, the Altaïr collection evokes the warmth of the desert: the amber-coloured glass glows with warm reflections. The candle glass, handmade in Italy, is made even more radiant by the golden Trudon emblem. The elegantly ribbed diffuser on the outside is reminiscent of the architectural grooves of the dunes, which are further emphasised by a golden collar and emblem.
A golden thread runs along the box: it has been hot-stamped and undulates graphically across the surface, like the many waves left by the wind on the surface of the dunes.
