Francis Kurkdjian had already made two attempts to reformulate this classic (hyper-retro!), but the result was not satisfactory. This time, he is working with a new supplier who has access to very high-quality ingredients, and the result is both faithful to the original and a little fresher, making it even more desirable.
The composer

However, his interpretation of MDCI for Women is undoubtedly his masterpiece to date, a brilliant gem of absolute and flawless purity. Francis Kurkdjian refuses to label his creations with commercial terms such as ‘perfume’ or ‘eau de toilette’. For him, these fragrances are simply ‘perfect’.
The composition
A bold and surprising composition of bergamot and Italian mandarin. Mystical nuances of ylang-ylang pave the way for the perfect scent of Arabian jasmine, Turkish rose, tuberose and gold lacquer. A fantastic background of patchouli, Indian sandalwood, vanilla and vetiver from Haiti adds the finishing touch to Enlèvement au Serail, setting enchanting accents and the highest artistic standards.
