V Canto - P.D.F.

The inspiration for this creation is the great Italian painter and mathematician Piero della Francesca, who is undoubtedly one of the most important and influential figures of the Renaissance. Just as this fragrance skilfully balances fougère accords of maritime and citrus notes, all of the artist's works are masterfully suspended between art, geometry and complex levels of interpretation, echoing theological, philosophical and political questions. Piero della Francesca understood how to harmonise the intellectual and spiritual values of his time in his works and to illuminate the value of beauty, between rationality and aesthetics, between wonder and discovery – just like this fragrance, which is inspired by his complex, multifaceted soul.

P.d.F. is a truly artistic creation, dedicated to all those who love to open their hearts to the wonder of discovery, carried on the wings of harmony and refined seduction.

The V Canto collection was inspired by one of the most beautiful love stories in the world and by a love for one's roots and homeland.

For over 700 years, the Terenzi family has lived near the Castello di Gradara, one of the oldest castles in Italy. This family of travellers and explorers settled among the beautiful hills, forests and the Adriatic Sea, a family that loves to come home after their adventures, to a place where the scents and colours are dominated by the blue velvet shadows of the sea.

Much of the creative energy and love of beauty that characterises all the Terenzi's works comes from this wild but beautiful area.

Breathing the air beneath the great tower, rich in history and secrets, walking along the high walls of the castle, once defended by our ancestors with their lives, building sandcastles on the beach and dreaming while standing at the highest point of the cliffs – this brings our souls closer to who we are and allows us to understand history.

Even the poet prince Dante Alighieri, one of the greatest figures Italy has ever seen, honoured this place with a chapter of his most famous work: the Comedìa, better known as the Divine Comedy. A poem written in tercets with endecasillabi (eleven-syllable lines) in Florentine dialect, composed between 1304 and 1321. The Comedy is one of the most important testimonies of medieval culture; known and studied worldwide, it is considered the greatest literary work of all time.
