On a summer evening - everything is ready for the rendezvous.
Act III Scene 1
The soft light seems to caress the scratchy sound of the old record and plays hide and seek - warmly enveloped in the voice of the jazz singer. The large patio door is open. All you can hear from outside is the muffled shrill of the cicadas and the warm summer breeze. A bunch of freshly picked flowers on the tea table fills the room with a mixture of scents and bright colours. You uncork the champagne bottle and pour it into two tulip glasses. The unmistakable scent of yeast floats in the air. You sit down on the couch to savour the moment and look around you - every single detail is just perfect. Then you close your eyes, take a deep breath and listen to the sound of her footsteps on the stairs. You can't help but smile. You wish this moment would never end. Then there's a knock at the door.
