The Tempest is the last work by William Shakespeare, arguably the greatest playwright of all time. It is steeped in alchemical imagery (dying kings and sons, Ariel as the spirit Mercury, etc.), with Prospero as the archetypal magician.
This regal attar – a highly concentrated perfume oil – offers a wide range of fragrance impressions: fresh citrus fruits such as bergamot and lemon are present, as are spicy and herbaceous notes of lavender, ginger and elemi resin. The heart reveals woody and balsamic traits with a hint of rose and jasmine blossoms. The base is woody, earthy but also soft, with patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, musk, ambergris and oud.
Xerjoff K Collection – Natural philosophy and alchemy
Alchemy is an influential philosophical tradition dating back to ancient times – the magical sense of transformation.
Based on this philosophy, Kemi is a collection of unique perfumes made from purely natural raw materials using cryptic distillation techniques.
Perfume as we know it could not have taken shape without alchemical studies and practices or the skilful transformation of ordinary raw materials into precious substances.
Kemi transcends the boundary between the tangible and the intangible, the earthly and the ethereal, the real and the magical.
