Trance by J. F. Schwarzlose Berlin is also a revival of an old fragrance creation from the Golden Twenties. The fragrance was created by Max Schwarzlose, one of the sons of J. F. Schwarzlose. The original ingredients contained a strong rose note, which Véronique Nyberg re-balanced with masculine notes to make this composition equally wearable for men and women.
As the name suggests, the fragrance has an almost hypnotic effect and is intended to transport the wearer and those around them into an olfactory trance. At the time, the term trance was synonymous with the spirit of the age: people were familiar with Sigmund Freud and psychoanalysis and were therefore also familiar with hypnosis sessions, which were all the rage at the time.
