Inspiration
In ancient traditions, Kama represents the profound desire and seduction that guide our search for pleasure and deeper connections. It symbolises the relentless drive that burns within us despite the monotony of everyday life and reminds us of the possibility of enjoying life to the fullest – through art, nature and interpersonal relationships. Kama, the Sanskrit word for desire, celebrates desire and seduction.
The magic behind it
Kama, the Hindu god of love, uses a bow made of sugar cane and flower arrows. He tried to disrupt Shiva's meditation to restore cosmic balance by awakening Shiva's desire for Parvati. Shiva burned Kama, who was later revived without form, symbolising the invisible, omnipresent nature of desire. The story highlights the power of desire to influence the divine and cosmic order.
Design
Pernoire works with renowned designers worldwide for its visual design. Each fragrance has its own symbol, inspired by the concept of the perfume. The black and silver colour scheme is omnipresent and represents Pernoire. The minimalist, avant-garde, ‘one-line drawings’ are the quintessence of each fragrance and give the customer a taste of what is inside the perfume bottle.
