The fragrance ‘1888’ by Casamorati, as the name suggests, represents the entire collection of the Italian house. This great task is mastered by a heavenly composition that transports the wearer to a bygone era full of elegance, classic grace and perfect sophistication.
This masterfully composed fragrance creation consists of extremely noble and precious essences. The top notes shimmer with exotic spices of coriander, cloves and green pepper with a hint of Iranian saffron. This spicy opening harmonises perfectly with the floral heart, in which roses from Grasse, Moroccan neroli and ylang-ylang from Indonesia combine. Precious Mysore sandalwood dominates the base and is delicately and extravagantly flanked by patchouli, ambergris and leathery notes of Russian birch.
‘1888’ is rounded off by its successful external appearance. The typically shaped bottle in a distinguished rust red colour with its pointed golden cap is adorned with a small relief. It depicts an exciting hybrid that is reminiscent of both the Roman god of wine, Bacchus, and the Bocca della Verità, which was immortalised in the classic film ‘Roman Holiday’ starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn.
